Specialization: Animal Health & Reproduction
About
My passion for working with animals began in childhood on my family’s small farm in Colombia, where I helped my father feed and care for our livestock. This early experience inspired me to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine, where I developed a strong interest in bovine health and medicine. In 2023, I earned a Master’s degree in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
During my time at UW–Madison, I served as a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Animal Sciences 101/102 courses, which strengthened my dedication to education and student mentorship. Professionally, I have worked as a veterinarian specializing in dairy cattle reproduction and health consulting, and as a laboratory technician with expertise in sexing bovine semen. I am excited to share my knowledge and experience to help students succeed in the field of dairy science.
